The BlueBAG™ BodyFIX Vacuum Cushions enable comfortable and reproducible patient positioning from imaging through the entire treatment process. A precise mold of the patient’s position is maintained for up to six weeks.

BreastSTEP™

BreastSTEP provides high patient comfort and simple positioning, assuring a reproducible patient position throughout the entire treatment course. BreastSTEP is designed to improve the accuracy of radiation therapy for the breast, thorax and upper abdomen areas in a patient-friendly and non-invasive manner.

BreastSTEP consists of a base plate and an upper plate made of a low-density foam core covered with thin layers of carbon fiber. It allows the beam to pass through BreastSTEP from any angle with minimal attenuation.

Disposable Biopsy Needle Kit

These needles are an alternative to reusable biopsy needles addressing concerns regarding cross-contamination. The kit includes a disposable side-cutting biopsy needle with an 8.0 mm needle window and an aspiration tube. The kit also includes a disposable Stop and Guide Insert to further reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

Fraxion™

“Fraxion integrates well into our Elekta environment,” says Glyn Shentall, Head of Radiotherapy Physics at the Royal Preston Hospital. “The head frame is a non-invasive, well-tolerated system that provides high intra-fraction immobilization accuracy. Patient setup for treatment is straightforward and radiographer confidence in the system is high.” Fraxion head fixation can be used for virtually any patient. The patient can be immobilized with a thermoplastic mask, with the vacuum mouthpiece, or even a combination of both systems. Precise repositioning is possible as the system is directly connected to the treatment table and micro adjustments are possible via easily accessible screws for full 6D patient positioning.

Injection/Aspiration Needle Kit

A set of neurosurgical instruments designed for the injection, as well as for diagnostic and therapeutic punctures, aspirations and evacuations. The cannula is equipped with a Luer lock connector to accommodate the use of auxiliary components.

Cannula outer diameter is 1.5 mm and inner diameter is 1.0 mm.

 

Injection/Aspiration Needle Kit is designed for use with Leksell Stereotactic System® or Leksell® Vantage™ Stereotactic System.

This kit is replacing the Backlund Injection/Aspiration Needle Kit I with part number A2420-01. The new kit includes Guide and Stop Insert 1.5 mm instead of Guide and Stop Insert 2.1 mm Guide and Stop insert as was in the previous kit. This removes the need for the Reducing Tube, 2.1 mm, part no 50071-01 that was part of Backlund Injection/Aspiration Needle kit I.

Salcman Twist Drill Kit

Salcman Twist Drills are used to twist drill burr holes guided by Leksell® Multi Purpose Arc or Leksell® Vantage™ Arc System. Kit I includes two drills of diameters 2.10/3.20 mm with a reducing tube for the smaller drill.
Salcman Twist Drill kit enables the surgeon to place a twist drill hole with a suitable diameter, at a predetermined place and angle. This may be useful for taking multiple biopsies from different targets in one trajectory, for electrode implantation in a specific pattern etc.

All the components of the drill kits are made of stainless steel, with the exception of the guide insert and the stop insert, which are made of plastic.

Stereotactic Drape

Clear see-through drape for fast, safe and sterile draping of Leksell Stereotactic System® and Leksell® Vantage™ Stereotactic System. The tailor-made design ensures a large and accessable sterile field. Equipped with an adhesive for fixation to the top of the patient’s skull, two additional slits for the arc supports as well as a drain pouch and instrument pouches. Set of 10 individually sterile drapes.

The new improved drape has part number 1514116 and will replace the previous drape with part no 918193.

What’s new?

  • Thinner drape material.
  • The adhesive that is placed on the skull burr hole area is wider, making it even more optimal for bilateral implantations.
  • The anterior side of the drape has an adhesive all along the side to facilitate the draping preparations.

WingSTEP enables easy positioning, precise repositioning and high patient comfort during breast and thorax treatments. This robust, patient-friendly and non-invasive positioning system is designed to improve the accuracy of radiation therapy for the breast, thorax and upper abdomen areas.

The WingSTEP comfortably positions and supports the arms above the head in the supine position, allowing natural movement of the upper and lower arm, while at the same time guaranteeing very precise, comfortable and easily reproducible positioning. The head cushion is indexed, assuring a reproducible patient position throughout the total treatment course.
